Legendary FRSC Officer, DCM Hyginus Omeje, Retires After Stellar Service
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) bids farewell to one of its finest, Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM) Hyginus Omeje, who has retired from active service.
The retired officer, affectionately known as “Mr Traffic Reporting,” made an indelible mark on the agency and the nation.
A familiar voice on Lagos radio stations, Omeje’s unique reporting style endeared him to millions, making him a household name.
As Head of Operations under Jonas Agwu, he showcased exceptional leadership, later becoming Sector Commander in Lagos and Anambra states.
Omeje’s rise continued as he was appointed ACM Operations at FRSC HQ Abuja, culminating in his promotion to Deputy Corps Marshal.
His dedication, expertise, and passion for road safety have inspired a generation of FRSC officers.
As he bids farewell, Omeje leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, innovation, and service.
