Fresh Trouble for Tiger Woods After Florida Crash Leads to DUI Arrest.
Golf legend, Tiger Woods is back in the headlines after being arrested in Florida following a car crash that has raised fresh concerns about his conduct behind the wheel.
Authorities say the incident happened on Friday when Woods, driving a Land Rover, collided with a pickup truck towing a small trailer. The impact caused his vehicle to overturn onto its side.
According to Martin County Sheriff, John Budensiek, officers at the scene observed signs that suggested impairment. DUI investigators were called in, and Woods now faces charges including driving under the influence, property damage, and refusing to take a required test.
Despite the crash, Woods was not injured and was later seen leaving the Martin County Jail that same night.
Investigators believe he was driving erratically shortly before the accident. Reports indicate he was attempting to overtake the truck at speed on a narrow two-lane road when the situation quickly escalated. In trying to avoid a full collision, his vehicle clipped the trailer, lost balance, and rolled over.
Woods managed to crawl out of the car through the passenger side and was identified at the scene.
While he reportedly cooperated with officers, authorities noted he was cautious with his words and declined to complete a urine test, which contributed to the DUI charge. Officials also confirmed he did not test positive for alcohol.
The latest incident adds to a troubled history of driving-related issues for Woods, who is currently working toward a return to professional golf following multiple injuries and surgeries in recent years.
