Shock in Lagos Police Command as DCP Khan Salihu Dies

The Lagos State Police Command has been thrown into mourning following the death of its Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Finance and Administration, DCP Khan Salihu.

The sad development was confirmed on Monday by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, who announced that the senior officer passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026.

In a statement, Abimbola described the late DCP as a highly dedicated, disciplined and committed officer who served the Nigeria Police Force with exceptional professionalism, loyalty and integrity.

According to the statement, DCP Khan Salihu distinguished himself throughout his career through diligence, exemplary leadership and an unwavering commitment to duty.

It added that his vast experience, administrative expertise and invaluable contributions played a significant role in strengthening the management and operational efficiency of the Lagos State Police Command.

The Command said news of his death came as a profound shock and a painful loss to its officers and personnel.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, on behalf of the officers and men of the Command, extended heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time.
