Dangote Refinery Issues Tenders to Sell Gasoil and Jet Fuel, Trade Source says

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has issued tenders ‌to sell gasoil and jet fuel in March, a trade source said, citing a tender document summary.

Dangote is offering up to 44,000 metric tons of jet fuel for loading March 20-22, as well as at least 40,000 tons of ‌gasoil with a maximum sulphur content of 50 parts per million for loading March 15-30, the source said.

This is part of their effort to become a major player in the international fuel trade, with exports already underway to countries such as the US, Saudi Arabia, and several West African nations.

The refinery’s capacity is 650,000 barrels per day, and they’re working towards full operational capacity. With Nigeria’s energy landscape shifting, Dangote Refinery’s success could mean big things for the country’s economy and global standing in the energy sector

The refinery did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
