Renowned journalist, media mogul, and veteran politician Chief Dele Momodu has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a formal declaration made today, Momodu emphasised that his transition to the party is a strategic commitment to national service rather than a pursuit of personal political ambition.
Speaking at the ADC National Secretariat, Chief Momodu stated that his decision follows an extensive period of consultation and a deep reflection on the current political landscape of Nigeria. He highlighted the ADC’s ideological alignment with his vision for a transparent, inclusive, and progressive government.
“I am joining the ADC not because I am seeking an office, but because I am seeking a platform that prioritises the Nigerian people,” said Momodu. “Our nation is at a crossroads, and it is time to move beyond the traditional politics of personality and focus on the politics of service.
The ADC provides an alternative for Nigerians who are tired of the status quo.”
The ADC National Chairman welcomed Momodu, describing his entry as a “pivotal moment” for the party as it prepares for the upcoming electoral cycle. The party leadership noted that Momodu’s decades of experience in media, international relations, and grassroots advocacy would be invaluable in shaping the party’s policy direction.
Momodu, the Chairman of Ovation Media Group, has been a consistent voice in Nigerian public life for over thirty years. He reiterated that his primary goal within the ADC will be to mentor the next generation of leaders and mobilise citizens toward active participation in the democratic process.
