Several agencies, including the LASEMA Response Team, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, LASAMBUS, and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, were sent to the runway to prepare for the plane’s unexpected return.
People at the airport described a tense atmosphere as emergency crews lined the runway and passengers braced themselves for the landing. Thankfully, the pilot managed to bring the plane down safely, touching down smoothly despite the mid-flight issue.
Once the plane was on the ground, everyone was safely evacuated. LASEMA confirmed that no one was hurt, and the plane didn’t appear to have any major damage. After landing, the plane was checked out by engineers and moved to the apron for a more thorough inspection and any needed repairs.
