Madonna, BTS, Shakira Set To Light Up Historic World Cup Final Show

Global music icons Madonna, Shakira and K-pop sensation, BTS, have been unveiled as the headline performers for the first-ever halftime show in FIFA World Cup final history.
FIFA announced on Thursday that the blockbuster performance will take place on July 19 during the 2026 World Cup final at MetLife Stadium.
According to the tournament organisers, Chris Martin, lead vocalist of Coldplay, will curate the star-studded entertainment spectacle.
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, described the event as a landmark moment that would unite football and music while supporting humanitarian causes.
“The FIFA World Cup 2026 Final halftime show will be a truly special moment, bringing together music, football and a shared commitment to improving the lives of children around the world,” Infantino said on social media.
He added that the show would support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund aimed at expanding access to quality education and football opportunities for children worldwide.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, is scheduled to run from June 11 to July 19.
The expanded tournament will feature 48 teams and 104 matches, a major increase from the previous 64-game format, with an additional knockout round also introduced.
FIFA had earlier tested the halftime entertainment concept during last year’s Club World Cup in North America, where performances featured stars including Doja Cat, J Balvin and Nigerian singer, Tems.
