Tinubu Approves Reconstruction of Ado-Ijan-Ilumoba-Ikole Road as Oyebanji Meets Umahi in Abuja

The Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, on Wednesday, July 8, met with the Honourable Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, to review the progress of critical federal infrastructure projects approved for the state by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The meeting, held in Abuja, focused on accelerating the delivery of key road projects to improve connectivity and drive economic growth across Ekiti.

Speaking after the engagement, Governor Oyebanji said strategic alignment with the Federal Government remains vital to transforming the state’s infrastructure landscape and unlocking new economic opportunities for residents.

He expressed excitement over one of the major outcomes of the meeting, announcing that President Tinubu has approved the commencement of reconstruction works on the Ado-Ijan-Ilumoba-Ikole road.

“This is good news for our people,” the Governor stated. “The reconstruction of this important road corridor will ease transportation, boost commerce, and open up our rural communities.

”Governor Oyebanji also extended profound appreciation to President Tinubu for the intervention, while commending Senator Umahi for his “steadfast support” for Ekiti’s infrastructure development efforts.

“Together, we are building a more connected and prosperous Ekiti,” he added.

The Ado-Ijan-Ilumoba-Ikole road is expected to serve as a major link for farmers, traders, and commuters across several local government areas in the state.
