“We Won’t Rest Until Nigeria Is Safe” – Dare Assures Families of Freed LAUTECH Victims
Special Adviser to the President on Media & Public Communication, Sunday Dare, on Tuesday, July 14, visited victims of the recent kidnapping at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, southwest, Nigeria.
The 44 pupils and teachers were rescued by federal security forces after spending 56 days in captivity.
Accompanied by the Chief Medical Director, Dr Olawale Olatunji Olakulehin, Dare toured the wards and expressed satisfaction at the level of recovery of the victims.
Many of those rescued thanked security agencies and President Bola Tinubu for securing their freedom.
The Presidential aide also met with parents, relatives, and guardians of the rescued persons. He disclosed that 25 of the 43 victims were discharged from LAUTECH Teaching Hospital on Tuesday evening.
Speaking during the visit, Dare restated President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to tackling insecurity nationwide and ensuring that Nigerians can live without fear.
In a show of personal support, the Presidential aide donated to assist families of the victims with transport logistics upon their final discharge from the hospital.
