On Thursday, the members of the South East Team of the City Boy Movement were received by the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, during a courtesy visit at the Light House, Government House, Awka.
According to the South East Coordinator, Chief Dr Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obinna Iyiegbu, the purpose of the visit was to present the movement to the governor formally and to expound on its purpose. The team, known as the City Boy Movement, is accelerating support for development initiatives in the state and mobilising grassroots support ahead of the scheduled 2027 General Elections.

Mr Iyiegbu said at the meeting that the group is ready to collaborate with stakeholders to move the Anambra area in the right direction and contribute to the political process.
Governor Soludo received the delegation with warmth and appreciation. During the presentation of the cap, the governor wore the cap of the City Boy Movement. He commends their enthusiasm and engagement. He emphasised the need to work together and have one purpose to develop and win the 2027 election. Other members of the delegation included HE Amb. Elijah Onyeagba, PhD; Hon. Ikenna Iyiegbu; Abig Nwankwo; Mr Lucky; Sir Nonso Ozoemena and some other zonal executives of the Movement.
