ADC Takes 2027 Battle to INEC as Atiku, Amaechi Files Go Live

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has moved a step closer to the 2027 presidential election after successfully submitting the nomination particulars of its presidential and vice-presidential candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal.

The Party confirmed that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will fly its presidential flag in the election, with former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, listed as his running mate.

The development was announced by the Party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, through a post on his X account on Tuesday night.

According to Abdullahi, the successful upload marks another major milestone in the Party’s preparations for the 2027 general election.

“We are pleased to announce the successful upload of the names and particulars of our presidential and vice-presidential candidates to the INEC nomination portal,” he said.

“This marks another important step in our preparations for the 2027 general election and our commitment to offer Nigerians a credible alternative built on competence, unity, and national renewal.”

The upload officially places the ADC ticket of Atiku and Amaechi among the contenders already positioning themselves for the next presidential race.
