LAGOS, Nigeria-Nigeria’s leading carrier, Air Peace, has announced a major expansion of its domestic flight operations, increasing frequencies and seat capacity on several high-demand routes across the country.
The new schedule, which takes effect from June 22, 2026, will see the airline operate up to seven daily flights between Lagos and Abuja, one of Nigeria’s busiest air corridors. Additional services will also be introduced on key routes, including Lagos–Owerri, Lagos–Asaba, Lagos–Benin, Lagos–Warri, and Lagos–Enugu.
As part of the expansion, passengers travelling between Abuja and Owerri, as well as Abuja and Asaba, will now have access to up to two daily flights, providing greater convenience and flexibility for both business and leisure travel.
According to the airline, the enhanced schedule is aimed at meeting growing passenger demand while improving connectivity between major commercial centres and regional destinations. The expansion is supported by Air Peace’s fleet of next-generation aircraft, which the airline says will help deliver improved service efficiency and increased seat availability.
The carrier noted that the additional flights are expected to provide travellers with more affordable options, reduced travel constraints, and easier access to key destinations across Nigeria.
Industry observers say the move could further strengthen economic activities by facilitating business travel, boosting tourism, and improving links between important regional hubs. Air Peace also believes the expansion will contribute to national integration by making air travel more accessible and convenient for Nigerians.
With demand for domestic air travel continuing to grow, the airline’s latest capacity increase signals confidence in the Nigerian aviation sector and reinforces its commitment to enhancing connectivity across the country.
