The family of renowned Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has officially announced the funeral arrangements for the late screen star, inviting family members, friends, colleagues, fans and well-wishers to join in celebrating a life remembered for its impact, generosity and contribution to the entertainment industry.

Service of Songs
The first official event will be a Service of Songs scheduled to be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at The Monarch Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Guests attending the ceremony have been requested to wear white as a symbol of peace and celebration of life.
Wake Keep
According to the family, a series of events has been scheduled to honour his memory, beginning with a Service of Songs in Lagos before the final burial rites in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia S
A traditional wake-keep ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the family residence located at 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu, Abia State.
Funeral Service and Interment
The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Mary Slessor School, Amanagwu Village, Arochukwu, Abia State. Following the church service, the late actor will be laid to rest at the family compound in Arochukwu.
Reception
A reception ceremony will immediately follow the interment at Mary Slessor School, where family, friends and well-wishers will gather to celebrate his life and legacy. Guests are also expected to wear white for the occasion.
