ART X Opens Applications for 2026 RESONANCE Residency in Paris

The programme will give Nigerian artists, curators, and designers a chance to live, learn, and grow creatively in Paris through mentorship and cultural exchange.

ART X Lagos has opened applications for the 2026 edition of its RESONANCE residency programme. The initiative is organised in partnership with the Embassy of France in Nigeria, Institut Français du Nigeria, and Cité internationale des arts.

The residency programme supports Nigerian creatives by giving them international exposure and professional development opportunities. It is designed for visual artists, curators, and designers who want to improve their practice and connect with the global art community.

The selected participants will spend three months in Paris. During the residency, they will take part in mentorship sessions, research activities, institutional visits, and networking opportunities.

According to Team ART X, the programme aims to create stronger connections between African creatives and the international art scene.

What Participants Will Receive

The selected creatives will receive several benefits during the programme. These include:

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must live and work in Nigeria
  • Must be at least 23 years old before January 1, 2026
  • Must have at least five years of professional experience
  • Must be available for the full residency programme in Paris
