Brazilian Footballer Hulk Faces Backlash After Marrying Ex-Wife’s Niece.

Former Brazilian football star Hulk, who is currently a forward for Atletico Mineiro, is at the centre of a heated controversy following his marriage to Camila Angelo, the niece of his ex-wife, Iran Angelo. The couple recently held a religious wedding ceremony, following their initial formalisation of their union in a civil ceremony in 2020.

At 38 years old, Hulk took to Instagram to express his joy, stating that he feels “fulfilled in all areas of life,” a sentiment that has not been well received by many. Hulk and Iran were married for over a decade, having built a life together that includes three children: sons Ian and Tiago, and their daughter Alice. The twist in this narrative is that Camila, now Hulk’s wife, is also the aunt of these children, as she is the sister of their mother.

The response from Iran’s family has been particularly fierce, with her sister, Rayssa, voicing her outrage on social media platforms. Rayssa accused Camila of betraying the family, likening her actions to those of “Judas,” a stark reference that underscores her feelings of betrayal. Adding to the emotional turmoil, Rayssa pointed out that this controversial union coincided with the anniversary of their mother’s passing, amplifying her grief. She condemned Camila for pursuing a relationship with Hulk, a man her family once held in high regard, and criticised her for showing what she described as “an empty heart” in choosing to enter a romantic relationship so closely intertwined with familial ties.

Reports from various sources suggest that the relationship between Hulk and Camila began in December 2019, just months after Hulk’s split from Iran. It is noted that Hulk took the responsibility to inform his family, including his children, about his budding romance with Camila at that time. This decision appears to have only added fuel to the already simmering familial tensions surrounding this scandalous affair.
