Davido, the Afrobeats star, has spoken out about the viral DNA situation with a young woman named Anu Adeleke. She made a public plea to Davido for a DNA test to find out if he’s her father.
After a video of Anu asking Davido to agree to a DNA test because she wants to know her real dad, Davido started trending on social media on Thursday morning.
The video got a lot of attention, and many Nigerians and social media users tagged Davido, pushing him to respond.
After hours of online pressure, Davido finally addressed the issue on his X account.
He quoted a post saying, A daughter asking the father for a DNA test will really break and touch the father’s heart, and then shared that DNA tests had already been done multiple times.
Davido wrote:
“After 5 DNA tests… she dey crase .. her and her mom better leave me the f alone and go find her papa …”
When people asked if he knew Anu’s mother, Davido said he didn’t have any relationship with her and that their only interaction was when the DNA testing took place.
He tweeted:
“Never met the b … except when we went for the DNA … very stupidbehaviourr I will soon treat their FK … 5 f hospitals just to be clear .. the mom needs to go to jail … I don’t blame the poor girl.”
Davido also said that the DNA tests were done at five different hospitals, and both he and Anu’s side picked the locations to be fair.
He added:
“Yes, I chose 3 hospitals, and they chose their own two hospitals. All came out negative. This is the last time I’m speaking on this nonsense.”
