Ecobank has reflected on its participation at the prestigious Africa CEO Forum 2026, describing the two-day gathering in Kigali as a platform for high-level conversations, strategic partnerships and a renewed commitment to Africa’s economic transformation.

The Forum brought together influential business leaders, policymakers, investors and executives from across the continent to discuss the future of Africa’s private sector. Key discussions focused on investment opportunities, intra-African trade, leadership, innovation, economic transformation and inclusive growth.

Ecobank actively participated in several strategic meetings, executive sessions and media engagements throughout the event. One of the major moments for the bank was the participation of the Group CEO in a high-profile panel session titled “The Scale Architects – The Hard Choices,” where discussions centred on the realities of scaling businesses across African markets and navigating complex economic decisions.

A defining highlight for the pan-African financial institution was receiving the 2026 Gender Leader Award. The recognition celebrates Ecobank’s continued efforts toward advancing gender inclusion and promoting women’s economic empowerment across the continent.
