Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly referred to as petrol. The new price is set at N774 per litre, which is a decrease of N25 from the previous price of N799 per litre. This adjustment has been communicated to fuel marketers and is effective nationwide.

In a statement to marketers and the general public, the refinery said simply: The price of our PMS gantry price is changed from N799 per litre to N774 per litre.”
What does this mean for you? Well, with this price drop, Dangote’s locally refined petrol is now cheaper than imported petrol. Currently, it costs around N793 per litre to bring in PMS from Lome, while Dangote Refinery’s price is N774 per litre. This should lead to lower prices at your local fuel station, supporting the local economy and lower prices.
