President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians and the Armed Forces that the nation will overcome insecurity, praising the sacrifices of servicemen and women. “Your sacrifice will not be in vain,” he said during an interfaith breaking of fast at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Tinubu highlighted recent approvals to boost the military’s welfare and operational efficiency, including salary reviews and equipment procurement. “I commend your courage, sacrifice, and professionalism,” he said, noting the efforts have degraded terrorist capabilities.
Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Oluwafemi Oluyode thanked Tinubu for the approvals, saying they would enhance operational efficiency. The President also condoled with Borno State over a recent terrorist attack.
Tinubu assured continued investment in the military, saying, “This nation will always be grateful to you, and your sacrifices will not be in vain.”
