Tragic Stabbing on Primrose Hill: 21-Year-Old Music Video Director Killed
A shocking attack unfolded on Primrose Hill in North London as a 21-year-old music video director was fatally stabbed in front of horrified picnickers.
Finbar Sullivan, also known professionally as Sully Shot It, was attacked at the top of the hill while people enjoyed the warm weather and the school Easter holidays. The scene quickly turned chaotic as terrified bystanders scrambled for safety.
Social media footage captured the terrifying moment, showing two men confronting each other on a path near the viewing platform. One was seen with blood on his hoodie, while screams echoed across the crowded park.
Another young man staggered through the commotion, his chest covered in blood.
Finbar Sullivan, known for directing videos for hip-hop artistes across London, was found with fatal stab wounds after emergency services were called around 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7. Paramedics attempted to save him at the scene, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
A second man, also in his 20s, was spotted nearby on Regent’s Park Road by police. He had sustained stab wounds but was rushed to hospital with injuries reported as non-life-threatening, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Eyewitnesses described the park as crowded with families enjoying the holiday and sunny weather when a mass fight suddenly erupted. One park-goer told reporters that a group of teenagers began throwing punches and shouting, and moments later, someone shouted, “You’ve been sheft [stabbed] mate,” revealing a large red stain on the victim’s shirt.
“The crowd immediately gathered around the person on the ground. People were visibly distressed, with many holding their heads in shock,” the witness added.
DI Andy Griffin, leading the investigation, said, “Finbar’s family have suffered a devastating loss and our thoughts are with them during this very difficult time. We are pursuing multiple lines of inquiry and urge anyone with information, photos, or videos from the incident to come forward to assist our investigation.”
Superintendent Matt Cox described the stabbing as “utterly tragic” and assured the public that police presence in the area would remain heightened while enquiries continue. He appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to provide information to authorities.
No arrests have been made so far, and a crime scene cordon remains in place near the Primrose Hill viewpoint as investigators work to piece together the events leading up to the stabbing.
