Major Rebrand: Luton’s Popular Mall Unveils New Identity
Shoppers in Luton will notice a big change in the town centre as one of its busiest shopping destinations has officially taken on a new name.
The retail and leisure complex formerly known as The Mall Luton has now been rebranded as Frasers Plus Luton, marking a new chapter for the popular shopping hub.
Management announced that while the name has changed, visitors can expect the same shopping experience, stores and community atmosphere the centre has been known for over the years.
The rebrand comes after the site was acquired and redeveloped by Frasers Group, the retail giant owned by British businessman Mike Ashley. The company has been gradually transforming several retail spaces across the U.K. under its new “Frasers Plus” concept, which blends traditional shopping with lifestyle, leisure and community-focused experiences.

Located in the heart of Luton’s town centre, the complex remains one of the area’s most important retail destinations. It hosts dozens of stores, restaurants and service outlets and sits next to major retailers including TK Maxx.
Local officials and retail observers say the new branding signals a broader plan by Frasers Group to modernise the centre and attract more shoppers at a time when high streets across Britain are facing increasing pressure from online retail and changing consumer habits.
The “Frasers Plus” model aims to turn traditional shopping centres into multi-purpose lifestyle spaces where people can shop, eat, meet and attend community events — not just browse stores.
For many residents in Luton, the centre has long been more than just a shopping venue. It has served as a central meeting place for the community, hosting events, seasonal markets and activities that bring people into the town centre.
Despite the fresh branding and new signage now appearing on the building’s exterior, management reassured visitors that the core identity of the place remains unchanged.
In a statement announcing the change, the centre said the new name simply reflects its evolving vision while maintaining its role as Luton’s go-to destination for shopping, socialising and community life.
With the rebrand now official, shoppers can expect to see gradual updates across the complex in the coming months as Frasers Group continues its wider strategy of reshaping retail spaces across the U.K.
