LAGOS, Nigeria: Pastor Jerry Eze, the founder and convener of Streams of Joy International and the popular NSPPD prayer platform, has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Heirs Life Assurance, effective August 10, 2026.
The appointment places the prominent Nigerian pastor on the board of Heirs Life Assurance, a member of Tony Elumelu’s Heirs Holdings Group.
In a statement announcing the appointment, the insurance company described Pastor Jerry Eze as a respected leader with a distinguished record in community engagement, philanthropy and development communications.
According to Heirs Life, his experience and perspective will contribute to the company’s efforts to strengthen corporate governance, promote financial inclusion and expand access to insurance services across Nigeria.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Pastor Jerry Eze as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Heirs Life Assurance effective August 10, 2026,” the company said.
The company added that as it works to make insurance more accessible, relevant and impactful to Nigerians, it expects his experience and perspective to bring additional value to the board.
The appointment is already generating attention online, particularly among followers of Pastor Jerry Eze and the NSPPD movement, whose popular phrase “What God cannot do does not exist” has become closely associated with his ministry.
Beyond his role as a pastor, Jerry Eze has built a significant public platform through his prayer ministry, charitable initiatives and community-focused activities. His appointment to a corporate board also represents a notable intersection between Nigeria’s religious, social and business communities.
For Heirs Life, the move comes as the Nigerian insurance industry continues to seek new ways to reach a wider population and encourage more Nigerians to embrace insurance and other forms of financial protection.
For Pastor Jerry Eze, it marks a new chapter in his growing involvement beyond the pulpit and into the corporate and financial services space.
