Billionaire banker Tony Elumelu has reportedly reached out to the young UBA staff member who went viral after calling him “Tony” during a public exchange.
Sources say Elumelu told UBA Management not to punish the lady over the incident. Instead, he urged the bank to use the moment to reflect on its culture.
While noting that first-name basis works well among colleagues and younger staff, Elumelu stressed that elders and senior citizens deserve a higher level of respect in the workplace.
