Drama in Abuja: Crypto Billionaire BLord Thrown Into Kuje Prison Over Alleged VeryDarkMan Impersonation.
Popular Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as BLord, has been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja after being arraigned before the Federal High Court of Nigeria over allegations of impersonating social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan.
The businessman appeared in court on April 1, 2026, where prosecutors filed multiple charges against him, including impersonation and forgery. Following the hearing, the court ordered that BLord be remanded in prison custody for 26 days pending further proceedings in the case.
The case stems from accusations by VeryDarkMan that BLord falsely used his identity and image to promote business ventures without his permission. According to the activist, the entrepreneur allegedly forged flight tickets bearing his name, claiming he would attend the launch of a gadget app in Onitsha. He also allegedly announced that he had paid VeryDarkMan ₦500 million to serve as a brand ambassador and circulated promotional materials suggesting the activist had endorsed one of his fintech platforms.
VeryDarkMan further claimed that billboards and flyers carrying his image were printed without his consent, creating the impression of an official partnership between both men — claims he strongly denied.
A video circulating online shows BLord being escorted from the court premises to prison custody after the remand order. The development has sparked intense reactions across social media, as the high-profile dispute between the two personalities shifts from online confrontation to a courtroom battle.
The matter is expected to return to court later this month as legal proceedings continue.
