Customers of Ecobank Nigeria have been assured they won’t experience any disruption in banking services during the Easter public holidays.
The bank says its digital platforms will remain fully operational throughout the festive period, allowing customers to carry out transactions easily and securely from anywhere.
According to the bank, several channels will stay active during the holiday, including the Ecobank Mobile App, Ecobank Business App, USSD *326#, Ecobank Online, OmniPlus, Omnilite, EcobankPay, as well as Ecobank cards, ATMs, PoS terminals and more than 35,000 Ecobank Xpress Point agent locations nationwide.
Speaking on the bank’s readiness, Victor Yalokwu, Head of Products & Analytics for Consumer and Commercial Banking at Ecobank Nigeria, said customers can expect a smooth and secure experience during the Easter break.
He explained that the bank’s digital channels allow customers to carry out a wide range of transactions at any time, including local and international transfers, bill payments, airtime purchases, merchant payments, balance cheques, account statements and even cardless withdrawals from ATMs.
According to him, festive periods typically come with higher transaction volumes, which is why the bank has strengthened its systems to ensure customers continue to enjoy fast and reliable services throughout the holiday.
Yalokwu also advised customers to make full use of the bank’s alternative banking channels for everyday transactions such as transfers, bill payments, airtime purchases, card services and account management.
At the same time, he urged users to stay alert to protect their finances by shopping only on trusted websites, never sharing their PINs, passwords or One-Time Passwords (OTPs), avoiding banking activities on public Wi-Fi networks and being cautious of suspicious or urgent messages. Customers were also encouraged to regularly monitor their account activity.
Reaffirming the bank’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, Ecobank extended warm Easter wishes to its customers and partners, encouraging them to enjoy a peaceful and joyful celebration during the holiday season.
