Lagos CP Inspects Police Constable Screening, Urges Applicants to Beat April 18 Deadline
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, on Wednesday, April 15, visited the ongoing 2025 Police Constable Recruitment Screening Centre at the Police College, Ikeja, to monitor compliance with laid-down guidelines.
The screening exercise, which began on March 9, 2026, is being conducted in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to ensure a transparent, credible, and merit-based recruitment process in the Nigeria Police Force.
During the inspection, Fatai met with representatives of the Police Service Commission, Federal Character Commission, and the Police Community Relations Committee in Lagos, who are on the ground to observe the exercise and guarantee fairness.
The police commissioner expressed satisfaction with the organisation and professionalism at the centre, noting the commitment of officials and partner agencies to due process.
He, however, urged applicants who have yet to appear for the screening to do so before it ends on Saturday, April 18, warning that failure to participate within the stipulated period may lead to disqualification.
CP Fatai reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining transparency throughout the recruitment process.
