Lagos Police Beef Up Security for Eid-il-Fitr

The Lagos State Police Command has announced extensive security measures to ensure a peaceful Eid al-Fitr celebration across the state.

Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has deployed a mix of police officers, tactical teams, and intelligence operatives to guarantee safety before, during, and after the festivities.

According to the police, key security measures include increased patrols in communities and vulnerable locations, Marine Police patrols along waterways, and traffic control on major highways and congestion-prone areas.

Security coverage has also been provided at Eid prayer grounds, mosques, markets, and public places expected to record high human traffic.

Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Heads of Tactical Units have been directed to sustain routine patrols and ensure a strong police presence across the state. Officers on duty are expected to remain professional, courteous, and firm at all times.
