Offset’s Arrest Warrant Dropped Weeks Before Florida Casino Shooting

New details have emerged about the legal troubles of rapper, Offset, revealing that a warrant for his arrest had been quietly withdrawn just weeks before he was shot outside a casino in Florida.

Court records show that the rapper – whose real name is Kiari Cephus – had initially been issued a warrant in late January after failing to appear in court for an arraignment in Los Angeles.

However, the situation was later resolved when Offset showed up in court with his lawyer on February 26, where he entered a not guilty plea, prompting the judge to cancel the arrest warrant.

The Case Behind the Warrant

The legal issue stems from a misdemeanour simple battery charge connected to an alleged altercation at a cannabis dispensary in Los Angeles in March 2025.

At the time the warrant was issued, the court had set a $20,000 bond for the rapper.

Shooting Outside Casino

Not long after the court matter was settled, Offset became involved in a completely separate incident earlier this week.

The rapper was shot outside the Hard Rock casino in Florida, an incident that quickly made headlines across the entertainment world.

He was rushed to the hospital following the shooting but has since been treated and discharged, according to reports.

Authorities have not yet released full details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and investigations are still ongoing.
