The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially named former Cross River State governorship candidate, Senator Sandy Onor, as its consensus presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general election.
The declaration was made on Tuesday at the Party’s national secretariat, Wadata Plaza in Abuja, during the collation and presentation of the PDP presidential primary results.
Chairman of the PDP Presidential Primaries Collation Committee and former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, announced Onor’s emergence while addressing Party members and stakeholders at the event.
The PDP leadership under Abdulrahman Mohammed described the development as a major step in the Party’s preparations for the 2027 presidential race.
