Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has begun her rehabilitation journey after undergoing successful surgery on her left foot.
The Nigeria international, who plays for Al-Ittihad Ladies in Saudi Arabia, is expected to be out of action for several months, marking the second major injury setback for the 27-year-old this year.
Plumptre had previously been sidelined for six months in 2024, and her absence will be deeply felt by her club and national team.
