Poco Lee’s Team Speaks on Rape Allegations, Denies Drink-Spiking Claims
Poco Lee’s management urges the public to disregard unverified claims as he prepares to face rape and assault charges in a UK court.
LONDON, UK: The management and legal team of Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, have broken their silence on the allegations against him in the United Kingdom, urging the public to disregard unverified claims circulating online.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, August 26, Poco Lee’s team expressed concern over what it described as a “volume of unverified narratives” surrounding the ongoing case.
The team specifically addressed reports alleging that drink-spiking was involved in the case, stating that the claim does not form part of the charges before the court.
“We are particularly concerned by the volume of unverified narratives currently circulating, including claims referencing ‘drink spiking’, amongst other allegations which do not form part of any of the allegations or charges before the court,” the management said.
The team urged members of the public and the media to avoid adding details not contained in the court proceedings, warning that such reports could spread misinformation and unfairly prejudice the case.
The development follows Snaresbrook Crown Court’s confirmation that Poco Lee is scheduled to appear on September 15, 2026, for plea and trial preparation.
According to the court, Poco Lee faces charges of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. The court also stressed that he remains innocent unless and until he is found guilty through due process.
Poco Lee’s team said further information would be communicated through official channels when appropriate.
The case remains ongoing.
