Political Shocker: David Mark’s Daughter Backs Tinubu’s Second Term.
In a move that’s already stirring conversations across political circles, Blessing Onuh has thrown her weight behind the re-election bid of Bola Ahmed Tinubu — and she’s taking on a major role to push it forward.
The Benue lawmaker, who represents Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, has been appointed National Woman Leader of the Take Action Campaign Organisation (TACO), a group actively campaigning for Tinubu’s second term.
Her appointment was confirmed in Abuja by the group’s Director-General, Tony Nwulu, during a brief ceremony where she officially received her letter.
Speaking afterward, Onuh made it clear she’s ready to hit the ground running — promising to rally support for Tinubu and drive awareness around the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which she says needs continuity to fully deliver.
But beyond the appointment itself, what’s really turning heads is her political lineage.
She is the daughter of David Mark — a heavyweight in opposition politics and current National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress.
Mark, a former Senate President and long-time political figure, is part of a growing opposition coalition gearing up to challenge Tinubu in 2027. That alliance includes big names like Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
While Mark has yet to publicly react, his daughter’s visible alignment with a pro-Tinubu campaign platform hints at a striking political contrast within the family.
Meanwhile, TACO describes itself as a grassroots-driven movement focused on promoting the achievements of the Tinubu administration and engaging Nigerians on its policies and reforms.
