The AFWN Designer Trunk Show Begins, Bringing Fashion, Culture and Innovation Together

Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2025 might be over, but the story doesn’t end when the lights go up.

To keep the energy and excitement going, AFWN is launching the official AFWN Designer Trunk Show. Think of it as a month-long sales event, designed to keep our talented designers front and centre even after the main show wraps up.

The Designer Trunk Show is a direct extension of AFWN 2025. It’s all about turning those runway looks into sales. It’s where people can actually buy the clothes they saw and liked during Fashion Week, making sure our designers stay in the public eye.

Basically, the AFWN Designer Trunk Show is a special pop-up shop just for the designers who were part of Africa Fashion Week Nigeria 2025. The goal is simple: We want to make sure the buzz from Fashion Week turns into real business for these designers. It’s about capitalising on the moment and moving things forward.

Designers who take part will get a real retail setup where they can sell directly to customers. They’ll also get more attention from some very important people in the fashion world, with a plan for promotion that stretches across those four weeks. This isn’t just a one-day thing. It’s a sustained effort to help brands create lasting relationships with buyers, fans, and people in the industry. This allows for more than a fleeting moment of fame; it enables the making of true fans and clients of the brand!

The AFWN Designer Trunk Show is scheduled to run from Thursday, February 5, to Tuesday, March 3, 2026. That’s four solid weeks focused on sales and getting people involved. You’ll find it at No. 37 Ribadu Road, Ikoyi, Lagos – a convenient and central spot for all things fashion. This location was picked to allow easy access for all attendees.

Only designers who showed their work at AFWN 2025 can join. By signing up, designers agree to the guidelines, which will ensure a smooth and successful experience for everyone involved – both the brands and the shoppers. This will help maintain a standard and level of professionalism expected of the event.

This Trunk Show is more than just an add-on to Fashion Week. It’s the next step, the part where business happens. It’s a chance for designers to reconnect with their fans, make some sales, and keep the momentum going long after the runway lights have dimmed.

More details about joining the Trunk Show, how we’ll be promoting it, and how it will all work will be coming soon. AFWN is dedicated to creating real opportunities for African fashion to grow and thrive. We’re committed to helping brands move forward in a competitive landscape worldwide.

The future of African fashion doesn’t stop at the runway. Together, we’re moving it forward, one collection at a time. By banding together, the chances of succeeding are greatly amplified!
