U.S. Moves to Deport 130 Nigerians Convicted of Fraud, Drugs and Weapons Offences
Authorities in the United States have confirmed plans to deport 130 Nigerian nationals who were convicted of a range of criminal offences, including advance fee fraud, illegal possession of firearms, drug-related crimes and assault.
Details of the planned deportations were revealed in a statement and official document published on the website of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which was reviewed by TVC News on Friday.
The document, titled “Worst of the Worst,” explains that the deportation exercise is part of a broader push ordered by Donald Trump to step up the removal of undocumented immigrants in the country who have been linked to serious criminal activities.
According to the statement, DHS is spotlighting what it described as some of the most serious offenders arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is highlighting the worst of the worst criminal aliens arrested by ICE,” the statement said.
It added that immigration authorities are carrying out the President’s directive to ramp up deportations, beginning with individuals convicted of serious crimes.
Among the Nigerians listed for deportation are: Boluwaji Akingunsoye, Ejike Asiegbunam, Emmanuel Mayegun Adeola, Bamidele Bolatiwa, Ifeanyi Nwaozomudoh, Aderemi Akefe, Solomon Wilfred, Chibundu Anuebunwa, Joshua Ineh, Usman Momoh, Oluwole Odunowo, Bolarinwa Salau and Oriyomi Aloba.
Others named in the document include: Oludayo Adeagbo, Olaniyi Akintuyi, Talatu Dada, Olatunde Oladinni, Jelili Qudus, Abayomi Daramola, Toluwani Adebakin, Olamide Jolayemi, Isaiah Okere, Benji Macaulay and Joseph Ogbara.
Also on the list are: Olusegun Martins, Kingsley Ariegwe, Olugbenga Abass, Oyewole Balogun, Adeyinka Ademokunla, Christian Ogunghide, Christopher Ojuma, Olamide Adedipe, Patrick Onogwu, Olajide Olateru-Olagbegi and Omotayo Akinto.
Further names include: Kenneth Unanka, Jeremiah Ehis, Oluwafemi Orimolade, Ayibatonye Bienzigha, Uche Diuno, Akinwale Adaramaja, Boluwatife Afolabi, Chinonso Ochie, Olayinka A. Jones, Theophilus Anwana, Aishatu Umaru and Henry Idiagbonya.
The document also lists Okechukwu Okoronkwo, Daro Kosin, Sakiru Ambali, Kamaludeen Giwa, Cyril Odogwu, Ifeanyi Echigeme, Kingsley Ibhadore, Suraj Tairu, Peter Equere, Dasola Abdulraheem, Adewale Aladekoba and Akeem Adeleke.

The deportation plan forms part of ongoing immigration enforcement efforts aimed at removing non-citizens who have been convicted of criminal offences in the United States.
