Ecobank Urges Young Nigerians to Seize ₦20 Million InnovateX 2026 Opportunity
Young Nigerians aged 16–25 can compete for ₦20 million in prizes while gaining mentorship, industry exposure and career opportunities through Ecobank’s InnovateX 2026 challenge.
Ecobank Nigeria has urged young Nigerians to take advantage of InnovateX 2026, a youth-focused innovation challenge offering a total prize pool of ₦20 million to outstanding teams.
The initiative, powered by Blaze by Ecobank in partnership with Verve, is designed to identify, support and reward innovative ideas from young Nigerians while providing participants with opportunities for mentorship, networking and career development.
InnovateX 2026 is open to Nigerian citizens between the ages of 16 and 25, with tertiary students, young entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives encouraged to participate.
Participants will compete across two key areas: Inclusive Finance and the Creative Economy.
The Inclusive Finance track focuses on ideas capable of improving financial inclusion, payment systems, fraud prevention, access to credit and customer experience.
The Creative Economy track, meanwhile, welcomes innovative solutions across areas including education, entertainment, e-commerce, the creator economy, social innovation, transport and logistics.
₦20 Million Prize Pool
The competition will reward the top five teams with a combined ₦20 million prize package.
The winning team will receive ₦5 million, while the second-place team will receive ₦4 million. The third-place team will get ₦3.5 million, with ₦2.5 million going to the fourth-place team and ₦1 million to the fifth-place team.
Beyond the financial rewards, participants will have access to mentorship from industry professionals, innovation bootcamps and networking opportunities.
Successful participants may also benefit from potential NYSC placement and internship opportunities with Ecobank, allowing young innovators to gain practical experience and build professional connections.
Ecobank Calls on Youths to Act
Ecobank is encouraging eligible young Nigerians with innovative ideas to form teams and take advantage of the opportunity to turn their ideas into practical solutions.
The initiative comes at a time when technology, entrepreneurship and the creative economy are playing an increasingly important role in creating opportunities for young Nigerians.
The InnovateX 2026 grand finale is scheduled for October 30, 2026.
