Prices for advanced AI servers from Nvidia have surged to around $1 million in China, as U.S. export restrictions tighten access to high-end chips.
Industry sources say the B300 systems, which sell for far less in the United States, are now commanding a premium in China due to limited supply and strong demand from tech firms racing to expand artificial intelligence capabilities.
The restrictions have disrupted official sales channels, pushing buyers toward indirect and often costly procurement methods. At the same time, stricter enforcement has reduced the flow of grey-market imports, further driving up prices.
Analysts say the spike reflects a wider shift in the global tech landscape, where access to advanced AI hardware is increasingly shaped by geopolitical tensions.
