Onuachu Stuns Fans, Builds $450k Health Centre for His Village.
Super Eagles forward, Paul Onuachu, is making a major impact off the pitch by bankrolling the construction of a state-of-the-art health centre worth about $450,000 in his hometown of Amakohia in Owerri West.
The towering striker, who currently plays for Trabzonspor, reportedly launched the project during a recent visit to Nigeria. According to him, the initiative is aimed at improving access to quality healthcare for residents in the community, where medical facilities have long been inadequate.
When completed, the health centre is expected to feature consultation rooms, a well-equipped laboratory, a pharmacy and units capable of handling basic emergency cases. Plans are also underway to bring in trained medical professionals who will run the facility and ensure it operates effectively.
Construction is still at an early stage, but the initiative has already drawn praise from residents and supporters who see it as a life-changing development for the area.
Beyond his reputation as a prolific goal scorer for the Nigeria national football team, Onuachu is increasingly being recognised for his commitment to community development and giving back to the place where he grew up.
