The online feud between VeryDarkMan (VDM) and BLord has taken a dramatic turn, with BLord currently remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja, the nation’s capital, over allegations of impersonation, forgery, and unauthorised use of VDM’s identity.
The controversy began when VDM accused BLord of using his image without consent to promote business ventures, including selling allegedly fake luxury iPhones at inflated prices.
BLord has denied the allegations, claiming VDM was seeking attention, and has pleaded not guilty to the charges. The situation escalated when private clips of VDM surfaced online, allegedly linked to BLord’s offers, prompting VDM to take legal action.
The case has sparked heated debates on digital accountability, influencer power, and the blurred lines between activism and personal vendetta. While some see VDM as a fearless truth-teller, others question his motives.
The controversy has also drawn reactions from Nigerian celebrities, with Phyno appealing for peace and reconciliation, and Omoyele Sowore criticising the court-ordered detention.
VDM has set a condition for dropping the case: a public declaration of love for the ruling APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, sparking intense debate online.
