Lucy Harrison, a 23-year-old woman from Warrington, England, lost her life in a shooting in Prosper, Texas, on January 10, 2025. She was visiting her father, Kris Harrison. The tragedy happened after a really bad argument about Donald Trump.
The local police investigated the case as a possible manslaughter. The Collin County grand jury thought about it but decided not to charge Kris Harrison.
At the Cheshire Coroner’s Court, Lucy’s boyfriend, Sam Littler, talked about that day. He said there was a big argument earlier that day about President Donald Trump. He was getting ready for a second term as president. Sam also noted that Lucy got upset when her father talked about guns. Kris Harrison moved to the United States when Lucy was a kid. He had problems with alcohol and had started drinking again that day. Sam said he drank about 500ml of white wine.
During the argument, Lucy asked her father a difficult question: How would you feel if I were that kind of girl and I got assaulted? Kris answered that he had two other daughters, so it wouldn’t be as upsetting to him then. Lucy was really upset and went upstairs.
Later, about half an hour before Lucy was headed to the airport, Kris took Lucy to his bedroom. He intends to show her his Glock 9mm handgun. He said that as he picked up the gun, it went off. Lucy immediately dropped to the floor. Kris claimed he didn’t know if his finger was on the trigger. He admitted he’d had a bit of alcohol that day. He said he bought the g¥n a long time ago to keep his family safe.
The police officers at the scene could smell alcohol on Kris’s breath. Security camera footage showed that he had bought two 500ml containers of Chardonnay not long before the shooting happened.
