Lagos CP Visits LASU Accident Scene, Assures Students Justice Will Be Served
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, on Sunday, April 12, carried out an on-the-spot assessment of the accident scene where a Lagos State University student lost their life.
CP Fatai, accompanied by senior officers of the Command, met with representatives of the LASU Students’ Union during the visit.
He commended the students for their “calm, orderly, and responsible conduct in this moment of grief” following the death of their colleague.
The Commissioner assured the student body that “justice will be served,” confirming that the suspect involved in the incident will be charged to court by Monday for proper prosecution.
“The Command remains committed to transparency, accountability, and the safety of all residents,” CP Fatai said.
The Lagos State Police Command extended condolences to the bereaved family, stating: “May the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace and may God grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
