Ehi Ogbebor Opens Up on MC Oluomo, Failed Marriages, Domestic Abuse and Dating Controversies
Luxury interior designer Ehi Ogbebor opens up on her relationship with MC Oluomo, two failed marriages, alleged domestic abuse and controversies surrounding her dating life.

LAGOS, Nigeria: Nigerian businesswoman and luxury interior designer, Ehi Ogbebor, has opened up about her relationships, failed marriages, experience with domestic abuse and the controversies that have surrounded her dating life.
The CEO of Sayaveth Interiors and Hotel made the revelations while speaking on the Chude Podcast, where she addressed several issues concerning her personal life and public image.
Ehi speaks on claims of dating married men
Ehi addressed longstanding claims that she has a reputation for dating married men and allegedly breaking up marriages.
According to the interior designer, she does not believe she has ever “snatched” another woman’s husband.
She said she is still waiting for any of the wives involved in the relationships she has been accused of interfering with to publicly come forward and accuse her of taking their husbands.
Ehi said the public perception of her love life does not necessarily reflect her own understanding of the relationships she has had.
Ehi confirms relationship with MC Oluomo
One of the major revelations from the interview was Ehi’s comments about her relationship with Lagos political figure and transport union leader MC Oluomo.
Ehi described MC Oluomo as one of her best friends and acknowledged that she dated him while he was married.
She said:
“MC Oluomo is one of my best friends. That’s the only man I can say that yes, I dated him as a married man, but he is Muslim.”
Her comments have since generated reactions online, particularly because she openly acknowledged that the relationship took place while MC Oluomo was married.
She recalls getting married at 18
Ehi also spoke extensively about her experience with marriage, revealing that she got married when she was just 18 years old.
According to her, she married someone she barely knew and described the marriage as a deeply unpleasant experience.
She alleged that the relationship became physically abusive and recounted an incident in which she claimed she was beaten so severely that she lost consciousness.
She said she later regained consciousness and found her husband pouring olive oil into her mouth.
“I got married at 18. The marriage was nonsense because I married who I didn’t know. There was a day he beat me so bad that I passed out. I woke up and saw him pouring olive oil in my mouth.”
Ehi further alleged that she was also physically assaulted while pregnant.
Her account highlights the difficult circumstances she says she experienced during her early marriage.
Two failed marriages
The businesswoman revealed that she has had two failed marriages, despite achieving financial success and building a successful career.
She reflected on the contrast between her professional achievements and her experiences in relationships, noting that financial success does not necessarily guarantee a successful marriage.
Her revelations have also prompted discussions about the pressures and challenges faced by women whose private relationships become subjects of public scrutiny.
Ehi addresses ‘juju’ allegations
Ehi also responded to allegations that she uses “juju” or spiritual practices to attract, control or keep men.
She rejected the narrative and offered her own explanation for why such allegations may have followed her.
According to the businesswoman, she was actually the person who became afraid of marriage because of concerns about the spiritual practices associated with some of the stories surrounding relationships.
She maintained that the public should not automatically believe every allegation or narrative circulated about her personal life.
‘I am not bothered by the narrative’
Despite years of public discussion about her relationships, Ehi said she is not overly concerned about the narratives people have created around her.
She maintained that she chooses to stand by her decisions and pursue what makes her happy.
Her comments on the Chude Podcast have since sparked conversations across social media, with Nigerians debating her revelations about marriage, relationships with married men, domestic abuse and the public scrutiny surrounding her private life.
While some social media users have criticised aspects of her revelations, others have focused on her account of domestic abuse and the challenges she says she faced from a very young age.
